We collect information you provide directly to us when you register for an account, create or update your profile, post product or service listings, submit requests for quotation, send messages to other users, or contact our support team. This includes personal information such as your name, email address, company name, business registration details, phone number, physical address, and role within your organization.

We also collect information automatically when you access or use the Platform. This includes your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, pages visited, time and date of visits, time spent on pages, referring URLs, and interactions with Platform features such as search queries, clicks on listings, and messages sent and received. We may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect this information.

Additionally, we may collect information from third-party sources, such as publicly available business databases, trade associations, and identity verification services, for purposes of enhancing our services, verifying user identities, and maintaining the safety and integrity of the Platform. We may also receive information about you from other users who provide feedback or reports related to their interactions with you on the Platform.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to operate, maintain, and improve the Platform, including providing and personalizing your experience, processing your transactions, facilitating communication between users, and delivering customer support. Your information enables us to match buyers with relevant suppliers, display appropriate product listings, and provide trade-related insights and recommendations tailored to your business needs.

We also use your information to communicate with you about your account, your activities on the Platform, and changes to our services. This includes sending transactional notifications, security alerts, and updates about your listings, messages, or RFQs. With your consent, we may also send you promotional communications, newsletters, and marketing materials about products, services, and features that may be relevant to your business interests.

Furthermore, we use information to detect, prevent, and address fraud, unauthorized activities, and other violations of our Terms of Service; conduct analytics and research to improve Platform performance and user experience; comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from public authorities; and enforce our agreements and protect the rights, property, and safety of Impexly, our users, and the public.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes. We share your information only as necessary to provide and improve the Platform, to facilitate transactions between users, and to comply with legal obligations. When you engage with other users through the Platform, certain information from your profile, such as your name, company name, and business contact details, will be visible to those users to enable business communication.

We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as hosting providers, payment processors, identity verification services, email delivery services, and analytics providers. These service providers are contractually obligated to process your information only in accordance with our instructions and to maintain appropriate security measures. They are not authorized to use your personal information for their own purposes.

We may also disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government regulation; to protect the rights, property, or safety of Impexly, our users, or the public; in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets; or with your explicit consent. In the event of a corporate transaction, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity, and we will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your personal data.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. This includes encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL protocols, encryption of sensitive data at rest, secure access controls and authentication mechanisms, regular security audits and vulnerability assessments, and employee training on data protection and privacy best practices.

Your account is protected by password-based authentication, and we strongly encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to enable any additional security features we may offer, such as two-factor authentication. While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify affected users without undue delay and in accordance with applicable legal requirements. We will provide information about the nature of the breach, the data involved, and the steps we are taking to address the situation and prevent future incidents. We will also cooperate with relevant regulatory authorities as required by law.

5. Cookies and Tracking

The Platform uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your browsing experience, analyze Platform usage, and deliver personalized content. Cookies are small data files stored on your device that help us remember your preferences, keep you logged in during sessions, and understand how you interact with the Platform. We use both session cookies, which expire when you close your browser, and persistent cookies, which remain on your device for a specified period.

We use cookies for essential Platform functions (such as authentication and session management), analytics purposes (to understand how users navigate and use the Platform), and to remember your preferences and settings. We may also use third-party analytics services, such as Google Analytics, to collect and analyze usage data. These third-party services may use their own cookies to gather information about your use of the Platform.

You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences. Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies, delete existing cookies, or alert you when a cookie is being set. Please note that disabling or blocking certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Platform and limit your ability to use some features. For more information about how we use cookies, please refer to our Cookie Policy, which is incorporated into this Privacy Policy by reference.
