The Amla or Neelikkai (in Tamil language) is also called Amalka in Hindi and Amalaki in Sanskrit. The Tamil name may be translated as Beautiful Fruit whilst its Sanskrit name, Amlaki, translates as the Sustainer or The Fruit where the Goddess of prosperity resides. In Hindu religious mythology the tree is worshipped as the Earth Mother as its fruit is considered to be so nourishing as to be the nurse of mankind

It is a small tree with leathery leaves and a fleshy fruit. Amla is one of the richest natural sources of vitamin C. Amla is the fruit of a deciduous plant, of the same name, grown in many states of India. Its English name is 'Indian Gooseberry' and it has been associated with a number of health benefits.

Organic Produce
Naturally grown (organic). Certified Organic for Indian, European and US Organic Standards. NOP and NPOP Certified Organic Produce.

Production Method
Organic amla is harvested, washed and placed in SS trays inside a clean solar drier. After the required number of days, the fruit is apt for manual deseeding. De-Seeded amla continues to dry. After required number of days, its completely dry. De-seeded dried amla is now pulversised and sieved. Our sieves are designed to give amla granules less than 250 microns. 10 kgs of fresh amla yields around 650 gms of de-seeded dried amla. Which yields around 500 gms of de-seeded dried amla powder (<250 microns) after sieving.
